Sambousek with minced chicken

Sambousek with minced chicken is one of the most delicious appetizers prepared in Ramadan. It is very easy, the dough is crunchy and soft from the inside, and the filling is delicious that the family will love.

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Total time: 30 minutes


    To prepare the filling:

    1 cup minced chicken

    3 tablespoons finely chopped onion

    2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion

    1 tablespoon chopped coriander

    ½ teaspoon salt

    1 teaspoon ground cardamom

    1 teaspoon ginger paste

    ½ teaspoon crushed garlic

    1 tablespoon of soy sauce

    1 egg yolk

    2 tablespoons flour

    To prepare the dough:

    2 cups flour

    ½ teaspoon salt

    ½ teaspoon baking powder

    2 tablespoons of oil

    ½ cup water

How to prepare

    In a bowl, put all the ingredients for the filling, i.e. chicken, onions, coriander, garlic, ginger, salt, cardamom, eggs and flour and stir well.

    In a bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking powder.

    Add the oil and stir well until the flour absorbs the oil completely.

    Gradually add water and continue kneading for two or three minutes until we get a soft, non-sticky dough.

    Divide the dough into small balls, then stretch each one and put a spoonful of the filling in it and close it tightly.

    Heat the frying oil and fry it, flipping it until golden on both sides, then put it in a serving dish and it is ready.
