Ingredients for upside-down banana tart 1 package of puff pastry dough

6 bananas 8 tablespoons unsalted butter 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon cinnamon Vanilla ice cream, for serving

  How to prepare

 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 190°C for five minutes.

Using a circular tray (20 cm) cut a circle of puff pastry dough.

Using a fork, poke holes all over the dough to provide ventilation.

Cut the tops and bottoms of the bananas, then cut the banana halves crosswise and set them aside.

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, add the brown sugar, and cook until completely combined and an amber-colored sauce, about 5 minutes.

Add the vanilla and cinnamon to the mixture and stir until combined.

Place the bananas in the pan and cook until softened, about 2 minutes.

Flip the bananas to coat them completely with caramel, then remove from the pan, reserving the caramel.

Grease a cake pan with butter and arrange the bananas in the bottom of the pan, then pour the caramel sauce on top.

Cover the bananas with a circle of puff pastry dough, making sure the edges are tucked into the tray.

Bake for 30 minutes or until the dough is golden.

Let cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.

Cut it into slices and serve it with vanilla ice cream for your family's health and wellness.
