Shrimp Fried Rice

 



This easy recipe takes Chinese takeaways. Perfect as a weeknight dinner or as a side dish made with leftover rice.


If you're looking for the best shrimp fried rice, you've come to the right place. Every bite is full of flavor, fluffy eggs and plump shrimp. 


This is one of my favorite Asian recipes to share on the blog because I usually have lots of leftover rice in the fridge.


Growing up, my mom used to cook fried rice as a main course to use up all the leftover ingredients in the fridge. It was the ideal solution to avoid food waste. Like mother, like daughter, I do the same when I crave shrimp fried rice.


*ingredients


°1 tbsp. oil


°1 tbsp. Chop the garlic


°1 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined


°3 cups cooked white rice


°2 c frozen peas and carrot


°2 tbsp. soya sauce


°2 tbsp. Sesame oil


°1 beaten egg


°2 tbsp. green onions


*How to make shrimp fried rice


Wash and rinse the prawns and set apart.


Cooking white rice according to instructions and set apart.


Placing skillet over medium heat and adding oil and minced garlic.


Stir in garlic for one minute, to fragrant.


Add the pea also shrimp mixture to the skillet, stir and cook for 5 mn.


In bowl, add sesame oil and soy sauce also stir to combine.


Adding white rice with soy sauce mixture also sesame seeds.


fry for 4 mn.


Placing rice and shrimp mixture on one side of platter.


Adding eggs to the skillet and stirring eggs constantly to they are almost cooked, then stirring them to the rice mixture.


Garnish with green onions.
